The best AI clipping tools in 2026

An AI clipping tool turns one long video into short vertical clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. These are five tools people compare most, and each one is good at something else. Clipzula is our own product, so weigh that when you read this. Prices were checked on each tool's own site in November 2026 and can change.

1. Clipzula: many clips for a low price

Upload a long video or podcast episode, or paste a YouTube, Twitch or Kick link. You get about 16 clips from an hour of video and up to 30 per video, with no daily clip limit, each with captions, a title and hashtags. Free gives 60 minutes of video a month; one month of Starter is $12 with no subscription, or $15 a month.

  • Best for: clippers, streamers and anyone who wants many clips at a low price
  • Clips Twitch and Kick streams while they are live, on every paid plan
  • Weaker at: no layout with two speakers on screen at once yet, and an hour of video takes about an hour

2. OpusClip: the best-known all-rounder

OpusClip turns long videos into clips with captions, reframing and a virality score, and has many import sources and editing options. It has a free plan, Starter at $15 and Pro at $29 a month, and a custom Business plan. Pro adds the social media scheduler.

  • Best for: podcasts, talking-head videos and teams
  • Takes Twitch and YouTube Live links; its pages do not say if it clips during the broadcast

3. Vizard: long uploads and editing control

Vizard turns long videos into clips and adds a video editor for manual control. It works with credits, where one credit is one minute of video: 60 a month on Free and from 600 on Creator. Free exports are 720p. Check its pricing page for the current price.

  • Best for: podcasts, webinars and teams
  • Strong on caption translation

4. Klap: simple long video to shorts

Klap turns videos of up to 3 hours into vertical shorts with a virality score, reframing, captions and scheduling. You pay per clip volume: Basic is $29 a month for 100 clips, Pro $79 for 300 and Pro+ $189 for 1,000, and yearly billing halves those prices. One video is free to try, but downloading needs a paid plan.

  • Best for: creators who want a simple flow from YouTube videos and uploads

5. Submagic: captions and effects

Submagic is built around animated captions, zooms and b-roll for short videos. Starter is $19 a month for 15 videos of up to 2 minutes, Pro $39 for 40 videos of up to 5 minutes and Business $69 for 100 videos of up to 30 minutes, with lower prices on yearly billing. Clipping long videos runs through its separate Magic Clips feature.

  • Best for: polishing short videos so they look edited by hand

How to choose

Start with what you clip. For streams, check live clipping and Kick or Twitch links. For podcasts and talks, compare how much video a plan includes. Then work out your price per clip: the plan price divided by the clips it gives you, not only the monthly price. Most of these tools have a free way to try them, so run the same video through two of them and compare the clips.
