Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Clipzula (“we”, “us”) collects when you use clipzula.com and the Clipzula service, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Clipzula is operated by clipzula.com (Dutch Chamber of Commerce no. 77414926), based in the Netherlands, which is the controller of your personal data. Questions: support@clipzula.com.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in readable form.
  • Connected platform data: when you connect YouTube, TikTok or Instagram, we receive access tokens from that platform and basic profile information (your channel or account name, ID and avatar). We use them only to publish the clips you schedule and to show you how those clips perform.
  • Your content: videos you upload, recordings of streams you ask us to record, transcripts we generate from them, the clips we render, and the titles and captions you write or approve.
  • Usage and technical data: which actions you take in the app (for your own audit log), processing usage per clip (to apply your plan’s limits), and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, kept for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

  • To run the service: record or receive your footage, find clip-worthy moments, render clips, and publish them to the accounts you connected, at the times you choose.
  • To show you your clips’ performance (views and similar statistics) inside Clipzula.
  • To keep your account secure, enforce plan limits and fix problems.
  • To contact you about your account or the service.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

Google and YouTube data

When you connect a YouTube channel, Clipzula uses the YouTube API Services to upload the clips you schedule and to read your channel name and your clips’ statistics. By connecting, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Clipzula’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke Clipzula’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google security settings, or by disconnecting YouTube inside Clipzula.

TikTok and Instagram data

When you connect TikTok or Instagram, we use their official APIs only to publish the clips you schedule, with the settings you choose for each post, and to read your basic profile information. You can disconnect them in Clipzula or remove Clipzula from the connected apps in your TikTok or Instagram settings at any time.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf, only to run Clipzula:

  • Vercel: hosts the website and app.
  • Neon: hosts the app database (accounts, audit log).
  • Contabo: servers in the EU (France) that record, process and store your footage and clips.
  • Cloudflare: secure network connection and DNS.
  • Resend: sends account emails (email confirmation, password reset, account notices).
  • Zoho: hosts our support mailbox, so it holds any email you send us.
  • Groq: transcribes the audio of your footage.
  • OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to: analyse transcripts to find clip-worthy moments.
  • YouTube, TikTok and Instagram: receive the clips you choose to publish.

Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Your clips and footage stay in your account until you delete them, or until they are removed to stay within your plan’s storage limit.
  • Connected platform tokens are deleted as soon as you disconnect that platform.
  • When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days. Backups and logs are overwritten within a further 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive it in a portable format. Email support@clipzula.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, platform tokens are stored encrypted, and every account’s data is kept separate from every other account’s.

Children

Clipzula is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For significant changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
